Driveways come back as a single number with the crack filling shown separately. Lots come back split into sealing, preparation, crack filling and striping, so you can see what you are paying for and decline any part of it.
A drive that was sealed last season and only looks tired. A shaded drive that is still black and beading water. A surface where the base has gone and the cracking has turned into a web in the wheel tracks. A commercial lane that has rutted rather than cracked.
Sealer does not repair any of those and a coat over them buys a darker colour for one season. Saying so costs a job and it is cheaper than the alternative.
We also do asphalt only. Concrete takes a different product and it is a different trade.
Georgia does not shut the season the way the north does. Sealer needs to stay above fifty degrees through its cure, and Atlanta meets that on most days of most months, so winter work is a forecast question rather than an impossibility.
The two best stretches are late April into early June, after the pine pollen has dropped, and September into early November, once the afternoon storms have broken up. Midsummer work is done, and it is done early in the day.

If you are not sure whether you are inside it, ask. The worst answer you get is a straight no rather than a wasted morning.
